IYC Devotional - June 4: A New Creation
2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
To be in Christ is to be in relationship with Him. This means that we’ve accepted Him into our hearts and currently engage with Him every day. Through this process we become a new creation, which means we’ve died to our old self and are now His children. As a child of God, we have the opportunity to receive forgiveness for our sins and pursue His character in us.
Questions:
1) Can you think of a habit or behavior you want to leave behind as part of your old self?
2) What’s one area of your life where you want to see more transformation?
3) How does it feel to know that you can have a fresh start in Christ?
