1 John 4:18
“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”
Question:
There are two types of fear. The first is a Holy reverential fear that draws us closer to God and the second is an unholy crippling fear that creates distance between us and God. If we know God, we have a reverential fear of Him because He has the ability and every right to condemn us to hell but we also know that this is not His will. His will is to know us and love us. Do you fear God? If so, does your fear draw you closer to Him, or does it pull you away from Him?
