1 John 1:2-3
“The life that was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us. That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed, our fellowship is with the father and with His son Jesus Christ.â€
Question:
The reason that Jesus was murdered on our behalf was so that we could have fellowship with the Father. He bore our sin so that we could be in relationship with Him; to walk and talk with Him like Adam and Eve did before they sinned. Our purpose as Christians is to know God; everything else comes from this place. Ministry, career, our individual callings, and loving our families are all by-products of our relationship with God. Where do you think we would be if Jesus didn’t die for us?
